Mendaki Pagi-pagi

An Early Morning Hike. Two friends hike up a hill at dawn and talk about staying fit.

The dialogue, line by line

1. Ayo, kita mendaki sebelum matahari panas.
   Come on, let us hike before the sun gets hot.
2. Tunggu, aku ikat tali sepatu dulu.
   Wait, let me tie my shoelaces first.
3. Jangan berlari, nanti capek di tengah.
   Do not run, you will get tired halfway.
4. Betul. Pelan-pelan saja.
   True. Let us take it slowly.
5. Bau apa ini? Wangi sekali.
   What is that smell? It is lovely.
6. Bunga kopi. Kebunnya di sebelah kanan.
   Coffee flowers. The plantation is on the right.
7. Tuh, ada babi hutan di bawah!
   Look, there is a wild boar down there!
8. Jangan berisik. Biarkan saja dia lewat.
   Do not make noise. Just let it pass.
9. Berapa lama lagi sampai atas?
   How much longer to the top?
10. Seperempat jam lagi.
    Another quarter of an hour.
11. Aku menemukan tempat duduk bagus di sana.
    I found a good place to sit over there.
12. Kita istirahat sebentar, lihat pemandangan.
    Let us rest a moment and look at the view.
13. Aku baru sembuh dari flu, jadi napasku masih terasa berat.
    I have just recovered from the flu, so my breathing still feels laboured.
14. Kalau napasmu berat, kita berhenti dan turun.
    If your breathing feels laboured, we will stop and head down.
