Whose Bag Is It?. Two classmates use basic question words to return a lost bag.

The dialogue, line by line

Everyday register: casual classmates. Classmates use aku/kamu and the normal conversational forms lihat and gimana. Everyday wording appears first; a standard reference is shown underneath when the wording differs.

1. Tas ini punya siapa?
   Whose bag is this?
2. Aku nggak tahu.
   I do not know.
   Standard reference: Saya tidak tahu.
3. Kamu lihat tas ini di mana?
   Where did you see this bag?
   Standard reference: Kamu melihat tas ini di mana?
4. Di kelas.
   In the classroom.
5. Kapan kamu lihat?
   When did you see it?
   Standard reference: Kapan kamu melihatnya?
6. Jam dua.
   At two o'clock.
7. Gimana kalau kita tanya guru?
   How about we ask the teacher?
   Standard reference: Bagaimana kalau kita tanya guru?
8. Iya, boleh.
   Yes, that is good.
   Standard reference: Ya, itu baik.
