The House at the Western End. A visitor follows precise directions to a house at the edge of a village.

The dialogue, line by line

1. Rumah Pak Danu ada di mana?
   Where is Mr Danu's house?
2. Di ujung barat desa.
   At the western end of the village.
3. Saya mulai dari jalan tengah?
   Do I start from the central road?
4. Ya. Jalan ke barat sampai pojok.
   Yes. Go west as far as the corner.
5. Lalu belok ke utara atau selatan?
   Then do I turn north or south?
6. Ke utara, sekitar seperempat jam.
   North, for about fifteen minutes.
7. Rumahnya di seberang sawah?
   Is the house across from the rice field?
8. Benar. Ada pohon di depan.
   Correct. There is a tree in front.
9. Saya berangkat dini hari besok.
   I will leave at dawn tomorrow.
10. Jangan terlalu awal. Jalannya gelap.
    Do not go too early. The road is dark.
