Climbing a Mountain for the First Time. A guide describes the route up a volcano and what you will see.

The dialogue, line by line

1. Besok kita naik gunung berapi itu.
   Tomorrow we climb that volcano.
2. Jalannya susah?
   Is the path difficult?
3. Bagian bawah mudah, banyak pohon dan daun.
   The lower part is easy, lots of trees and leaves.
4. Di atas bagaimana?
   What about higher up?
5. Banyak batu dan pasir. Hati-hati jalannya.
   Lots of rocks and sand. Watch your step.
6. Dari puncak kelihatan apa?
   What can you see from the summit?
7. Danau di bawah, dan lembah hijau di sebelah timur.
   A lake below, and a green valley to the east.
8. Ada selat juga di kejauhan?
   Is there a strait in the distance too?
9. Ada, kalau cuaca cerah.
   Yes, if the weather is clear.
10. Kita berangkat jam berapa?
    What time do we set off?
11. Jam dua pagi, supaya lihat cahaya matahari terbit.
    Two in the morning, so we see the sunrise.
12. Dingin sekali pasti.
    It must be very cold.
13. Bawa jaket. Malam ini bulan purnama, jadi terang.
    Bring a jacket. Tonight is a full moon, so it will be bright.
14. Tanahnya kering atau basah?
    Is the ground dry or wet?
15. Kering sekarang. Musim hujan lebih licin.
    Dry now. In the rainy season it is more slippery.
