Night in the Village. Sitting outside at night in a village, noticing the small creatures around.

The dialogue, line by line

1. Enak ya duduk di luar tengah malam begini.
   It is nice sitting outside at midnight like this.
2. Iya, tenang. Bintang bersinar terang.
   Yes, peaceful. The stars shine brightly.
3. Awas, ada cicak di dinding.
   Careful, there is a gecko on the wall.
4. Tidak apa-apa. Cicak makan nyamuk.
   It is fine. Geckos eat mosquitoes.
5. Tadi sore aku lihat katak di kolam.
   This afternoon I saw a frog in the pond.
6. Musim hujan memang banyak katak.
   There are a lot of frogs in the rainy season.
7. Itu apa di pohon? Kadal?
   What is that in the tree? A lizard?
8. Bukan, itu laba-laba besar.
   No, that is a big spider.
9. Serem. Aku takut laba-laba.
   Creepy. I am scared of spiders.
10. Tidak berbahaya kok. Lalat lebih mengganggu.
    It is not dangerous. Flies are more annoying.
11. Semut juga banyak di dapur.
    There are lots of ants in the kitchen too.
12. Simpan gula di kotak tertutup.
    Keep the sugar in a closed container.
13. Melihat banyak hewan begini membuatku ingat hutan Kalimantan.
    Seeing so many animals like this reminds me of the forests of Kalimantan.
14. Di hutan Kalimantan masih ada orang yang berburu orangutan?
    Are there still people hunting orangutans in the forests of Kalimantan?
15. Itu dilarang. Orangutan dan elang dilindungi jauh di dalam hutan.
    That is forbidden. Orangutans and eagles are protected deep in the forest.
