Grandmother's Story. A grandmother shares stories from her youth.

The monologue, line by line

1. Waktu nenek masih muda, kehidupan berbeda sekali.
   When grandmother was young, life was very different.
2. Belum ada telepon genggam atau internet.
   There were no mobile phones or internet yet.
3. Kami menulis surat dengan tangan.
   We wrote letters by hand.
4. Keluarga sering berkumpul di malam hari.
   Families often gathered in the evening.
5. Nenek suka menceritakan dongeng.
   Grandma liked to tell folk tales.
6. Anak-anak mendengarkan dengan serius.
   The children listened seriously.
7. Sekarang semuanya sudah banyak berubah.
   Now so much has changed.
8. Tapi cerita lama tetap penting.
   But the old stories remain important.
9. Kita belajar banyak dari masa lalu.
   We learn a lot from the past.
