The dialogue, line by line

Everyday register: casual classmates. Two classmates identify people with short topic questions and without repeating full noun phrases. Everyday wording appears first; a standard reference is shown underneath when the wording differs.

1. Ini siapa?
   Who is the person in this photo?
   Standard reference: Siapa orang di foto ini?
2. Dia temanku.
   She is my friend.
   Standard reference: Dia teman saya.
3. Kalau yang itu siapa?
   Who is that man?
   Standard reference: Pria itu siapa?
4. Dia guru kelas kita.
   He is our class teacher.
   Standard reference: Dia guru kelas kami.
5. Yang ini juga guru?
   Is this woman also a teacher?
   Standard reference: Wanita ini juga guru?
6. Bukan. Dia teman baru.
   No. She is a new friend.
7. Ramai juga kelasnya.
   There are many people in the class.
   Standard reference: Ada banyak orang di kelas.
8. Iya, semuanya baik.
   Yes, and they are all kind.
   Standard reference: Ya, dan mereka semua baik.
