The dialogue, line by line

1. Besok kamu jadi tamu di rumah keluarga saya.
   Tomorrow you will be a guest at my family's house.
2. Saya harus bawa apa?
   What should I bring?
3. Buah tangan saja, kue atau buah.
   Just a small gift, cake or fruit.
4. Bagaimana cara memberi salam ke orang tua?
   How do I greet the older people?
5. Salim, ambil tangan mereka lalu tempel ke dahi.
   Salim, take their hand and touch it to your forehead.
6. Itu bagian dari adat istiadat di sini?
   Is that part of the customs here?
7. Iya, tanda menghormati orang lebih tua.
   Yes, a sign of respecting older people.
8. Apa lagi yang penting?
   What else is important?
9. Jangan pakai tangan kiri waktu memberi sesuatu.
   Do not use your left hand when giving something.
10. Baik. Bagaimana soal agama?
    All right. What about religion?
11. Keluarga saya Muslim, tapi tamu bebas.
    My family is Muslim, but guests are free to be as they are.
12. Budaya Indonesia menarik sekali.
    Indonesian culture is really interesting.
13. Tiap pulau punya tradisi berbeda.
    Each island has different traditions.
14. Saya mau belajar lebih banyak.
    I want to learn more.
15. Bagus. Yang penting datang dengan sopan dan terbuka.
    Good. What matters is arriving with respect and an open mind.
